Even if we live in the centre of the busiest city, there is wildlife all around us. Some welcome, some not so. Some wildlife benefits from such a close existence with humans but, more often than not, this enforced proximity leads to difficulties for wild birds and animals. In our busy lives we often bustle along without even noticing the animals we share our world with. Until such difficulties arise and we either discover an injured creature or find that one is having a negative impact on our own life.

If you have found an injured bird or animal then time is of the essence. A wildlife casualty in close proximity to people will be under a great deal of stress. Combined with it's injuries this can quickly lead to the animal going into potentially fatal shock. Please follow the links above for advice about what you can do to help. It is not always appropriate to intervene so the information on those links will help you decide whether help is actually needed.

The pest control advice we give relates only to humane methods, partly because we believe it to be unethical to kill wildlife because it poses us an inconvenience but also because lethal methods are totally ineffective. Please follow the links above to find out why.

Spring 2009 - Please help us spread the word and ensure that as many people as possible have access to help and advice about wildlife during the busy spring period. Click here to find out how you can help.
